Jimmy Ellis

Role: Lead Guitar / Vocals

I have been a Quo fan from an early age after discovering a MEMOREX 60 in a drawer at home with Status Quo written in green ink on the label, a copy of 12 Gold Bars with some added extras, then some years later the single Rolling Home came to the house, I was captivated by the cover of the record and the two guitars was the first image of the band stuck to this day.

I began playing guitar at the age of 6 after receiving a classical guitar for Christmas that year, I played in a school band in my teens and joined a 60’s band playing the pub and club scene for some years before joining 50’s rock n’ roll band Pink Cadillac in 1998. Along the way I have played my part in forming bands Mutha Humbucker and Diamonds & Ducks, which I remain lead guitarist in all three bands to date.

when not gigging I used to attend Statease Quo shows as the original line up and always enjoyed the band but never saw myself playing the part of Mr Rossi that is until in 2017 the call came through which I accepted, my biggest challenge to date to take on the role of one of my heroes and take centre stage, I am now proud to be a part of Statease Quo and am looking forward to the future of the band and the fun times ahead.

Role: Rhythm Guitar / Backing Vocals

I've been a quo fan as long as I can remember. My dad and uncles gave me all their Quo vinyls from the album Piledriver to 1.9.8.2 which got played into the ground along with all their memorabilia then the rockin all over the years video which single handedly taught me to play guitar age 7. Francis Rossi was my favourite hero although playing style is somewhere in the middle of Rossi and parfitt naturally.

Around age 21 I joined a 60s/70s band called Rusty which migrated into forming rock covers band Reload of which im playing and gigging in to this day....

when I was a kid I had a gig used John Coghlan, Signiture Drum stick...not sure how I came about them but someone in my family gave it me.... Until one of my mate snapped it by accident. Said friend was and still is a c**t

Playing my role in Statease Quo is the ultimate in every Quo fans world and I'm lucky enough to play the legend Rick Parfitt's parts together with Jimmy, Gaz & Chris to recreate classic Quo tracks. See you all down the front! Let's rock!

I PLAY BASS..............

JUST KIDDING.

I have been playing bass & guitar in bands for the past 15 years and from day 1 I have been covering classic Quo tracks.

Admittedly I am not a massive Quo nut like the rest of the guys but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy their music. The first time I saw Status Quo was at Knowsley Safari Park back in 2006 and have seen them several times since, usually with Jimmy.

For anyone that has not been to see us before you'll soon come to realise I'm the joker of the band always handing out the banter by the bucket load.

Gaz Brookes

Role: Drums / Percussion

I have been a Quo fan since the Age of 3 and attended my first gig at 3 years old at the NEC in Birmingham back in 1986. I have been in 2 bands previously 1 original and another Status Quo tribute. I was a late starter and didn't start playing the drums until I was into my 20's and haven't looked back since. With being in a Quo tribute before I know what it takes to put on a great show.

Shaun Brookes

Role: Event Photographer/Website Manager/Video Producer

I am a huge fan of Status Quo and Love Photography, ever since my brother Gaz (above) put together Statease Quo with the rest of the members I wanted to help in anyway possible, not being able to play and instrument I decided to become there event photographer and the rest of the roles stated above. Now I am living a dream of my 2 favourite things in the world, Quo music and photography, the perfect combination.
